Artistic director: Annastina Malm

Swedish mezzo-soprano Annastina Malm studied singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, as well as Literature and Dramaturgy at Stockholm University and Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. She is frequently engaged on opera and concert stages across Europe, primarily in early music. In Sweden, she has performed at venues such as Konserthuset, Ulriksdals slottsteater – Confidencen, Drottningholms slottsteater and Vadstena Academy. In Europe, she has appeared at the Handel Festival in Halle, the Ambronay Festival, Cité de la Musique in Paris, and the Herbstgold Festival in Eisenstadt. In 2015, Annastina made her directorial debut with the production Les Grandes Nuits at the Vadstena Academy. In 2024, she was the initiator and musical director of Hjärtat stormar så vilt, a performance for young audiences featuring French chamber cantatas at Drottningholm Palace Theatre. She recently gained vivid praise from the critics and audience, jumping in on late notice as Emira in Handel’s Siroe re di Persia at the Handel Festspiele in Karlsruhe, singing from the pit with Deutsche Händel Solisten conducted by Attilio Cremonesi.

Annastina is passionate about finding ways to link the present to the past and to present forgotten music and composers to the audience of today,
